This small, artisanal estate has released a dense ruby/purple-colored 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate revealing a distinctive bouquet of chocolate, espresso roast and cassis. Tight for a 2007, the wine reveals exceptional concentration, medium to full-bodied flavors and impressive purity, length and texture. Give it 1-2 more years of bottle age and drink it over the following 15+.

John Arns and Sandi Belcher started Arns Winery in the late 1980’s. Sandi and John had talked about building a winery for some time, but both had been busy in unrelated wine careers. John Arns, after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley Campus, had managed and consulted on many famous California vineyard projects. Sandi Belcher has been the winemaker at Long Vineyards for 27 years. Formerly from Williamsburg, VA, she now resides in Napa Valley. Sandi and John make 600 cases a year from their 9-acre vineyard in St. Helena, Napa Valley, 400-800 feet above sea level.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon – big rich up front with elevated flavors of chocolate, anise, black cherries, sumac, violets.
High acids seen in this wine during its barrel aging process have come into balance with some bottle age. A highly complex wine from a smaller crop reflects the characteristics of Arns Estate. High tones of black/red hues smothered in chocolate, red bing cherries, anise, briar, menthol, mint, sumac and smoke are very reflective of this prominent Vintage.
