The 2008 Pinot Noir Estate was also fermented with native yeasts and spent 18 months in 20% new barrels. It gives up a splendid bouquet of smoke, Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and black raspberry leading to a rich, loaded, layered Pinot with superb volume, intensity, and length. It will reward 2-3 years of cellaring and will offer a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2023.

Firm in texture, with a thin layer of prickly tannins around a supple core of cherry, distinct mineral and appealing floral flavors, lingering easily as the finish expands nicely. Graceful, elegant and deftly balanced. Drink now through 2016. 500 cases made.
