Corkage Rebate Program
The Vineyard’s Corkage Rebate Program
It’s now legal for Virginia restaurants to allow patrons to bring their own wine.
If your favorite restaurant allows you to bring your own wine, it will most likely add a “corkage” fee for the privilege. Corkage fees can run anywhere from $1 to $25 per bottle. Where the fee is high, the restaurant is clearly discouraging this option.
The Vineyard wants to help. If you buy your wine from The Vineyard and consume it at a restaurant that imposes a corkage fee, we will rebate your corkage fee up to 10% of the cost of your wine.
Here’s how it works:
1. Buy your wine from The Vineyard, making sure you’re in our customer database to show that you bought the wine at The Vineyard.
2. Enjoy the wine you bought at The Vineyard at your favorite restaurant that allows for BYOW (Bring your own wine).
3. Bring us your restaurant receipt and proof that you drank the wine from The Vineyard at the restaurant—take a picture, have the waiter write the wine name on the receipt, etc.—and you will instantly have a store credit for the corkage fee, up to a maximum of 10% of the amount you paid for the wine. It’s that easy!
